Flowers 125 is a wellbeing group provided by the With Me in Mind team, who are part of the NHS mental health services.
A small group of our students recently accessed a 6 week, wellbeing program focusing on managing anxiety and worries. Using interactive workshops, action based methods, and taking a holistic approach to overall wellbeing.
Students, who attended gave some great feedback and really felt that they had gained a better understanding of their own wellbeing and strategies on how to better manage emotions.
One of our parents wanted to share their child’s positive experience from attending Flowers 125.
I thought it was important to feed back, what a positive experience my son has had with the Flowers125 Worry Group, with the With Me In Mind service. It is so important that these kind of opportunities are available in school. I reinforce positive mental health messages at home, but discussing feelings with a peer group is so beneficial. My son brought home his resource pack yesterday and the topics covered have been done so well. He has spoken about the group each week and opened up more about how he is feeling. Could you pass on my thanks to the WMIM team please as I don’t have contact details, and I sincerely hope that these services continue to be made available to more children in future school years.
