As part of our science curriculum, Y6 children have been learning about the structure of the heart and circulatory system. The UKS2 biology strand of the curriculum provides our children the chance for real-life practical experiences. As such, the Y6 pupils have conducted a pig heart dissection.
The children absolutely loved being able to put their learning into practice and being hands-on. We were able to link our learning of the heart’s structure and identify the main parts of the heart. 🫀
