Last week, some of our incredibly talented students took part in the WPT is 10 Showcase at Magna Science Adventure Centre – an event to commemorate the 10th anniversary since Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT) was established.
The Showcase was WPT’s biggest collaborative event to date, with over 300 students from across the Trust coming together to put on an extraordinary exhibit and show for the school, Trust and local community.
When attendees first arrived, they were first greeted with a stunning performance from our super musicians in the Face of Steel before heading into the Art Gallery, which displayed hundreds of pieces of work from some super talented artists. This led the crowd to the Big Hall where they could see a DT display, a timeline of the Trust, the WPT School Report showcase and our Alumni stand.
Then it was showtime! We’re proud that our very own Aston Hall students played a crucial role in the event with our KS1 students performing ‘The Climb’ and our KS2 students performing ‘Hall of Fame’ (with BSL).
All of the students who took part in the Showcase did our school, Trust and local community proud – we certainly have some very talented students! Well done to Evie, Lincoln, Saraya, Rebecca, Myla, Harry, Alexia, Elyse, Emily, Ben, Aras, Poppy, Dylan, Alana, Grace, Isabelle, Ella, Lily, Archie, and Aariya.
Mr Holmes, Headteacher at Aston Hall Junior & Infant School, said: “All the staff at Aston Hall were incredibly proud of the children who took part in the WPT is 10 Showcase. They were able to rise to the challenge and demonstrated their talent performing their songs alongside the other Trust primary schools.
“Seeing our students work collaboratively with staff and students from across the Trust really demonstrates how Aston Hall and WPT support students to leave school both able and qualified. They should certainly be proud of the achievement and proud to be Aston Hall.”
Thank you to everyone who came to support Aston Hall students at the WPT is 10 Showcase event, and another huge well done to everyone involved.
