Today, the children in Y3/4 solved the mystery of our new novel. They played catchphrase, hunted for clues about the storyline, made predictions, and inferred what the novel could be about before listening to the prologue and chapter one.
They were so excited about The Stormkeepers Island. and can’t wait to find out more about Fionn Boyle and his newfound adventures on Arranmore Island. They were hooked and full of questions of why the earth began to stir beneath his feet.
The children will soon realise that once in a generation, Arranmore Island chooses a new Stormkeeper to wield its power and keep its magic safe from enemies. The time has come for Fionn’s grandfather, a secretive and eccentric old man, to step down. Soon, a new Keeper will rise. But deep underground, someone has been waiting for Fionn. As the battle to become the island’s next champion rages, a more sinister magic is waking up, intent on rekindling an ancient war.
