Y3/4 Wind Turbine Walk

This week, Y3/4 visited Penny Hill Wind Farm to consolidate their learning in Geography. The children have covered the Arctic and Antarctic, climate change, and how renewable energy can help to prevent this. The children also used their fieldwork skills by spotting geographical features in Aston on the way there, and used compass points to locate more features while they were at the ‘Zeus’ wind turbine. Everyone learnt so much by seeing the wind turbines for themselves, and developed their understating of how renewable energy is used.

Great work, well done Y3/4!
