Year 2 work on their reporting skills

Over the last week Y2GD have been researching meerkats and learning about the features of non-chronological reports.

We sorted facts into different sub headings by using our amazing reading skills and came up with our own question sub headings, such as “where do they live?”.

We also played a vocabulary game that helped us to learn technical vocabulary related to meerkats. Ask us about the meaning of these terms: Non-retractable claws, forage, mob and pups!

This week we will be collating our own facts and writing our own Meerkat reports. Well done Year 2!
