In Maths Y1AP have started learning about money. We have learnt to identify coins. We represented each coin with base 10 to show understanding of the value of each.
Then, we bought items from a pretend shop using money. The children had to find combinations of coins to make the correct amount for each item. They used their knowledge of counting in 2s, 5s and 10s to help them with this.
Next we will learn the value of notes. Well done team! 😄
