This half term in Year 3 and Year 4, we have been learning about The Stone Age.
In order to develop our children’s knowledge and understanding – beyond the classroom – of Stone Age lifestyles, we arranged for Outback 2 Basics to come into school to deliver some workshops.
This company were stars in the Channel 4 series ‘Surviving the Stone Age’ and delivered fun and engaging activities for us yesterday.
We got first hand experience of Stone Age clothing, animals, tools and hunting techniques.
All children also got to grind their own slate arrowhead and model a fat lamp from clay.
