Maltby and Rother Valley Lions Advent Raffle

Each year, school supports the Maltby and Rother Valley Lions by raffling off a chocolate advent tree. This year we raised a fantastic £60 on the raffle.  Well done to Harriet in Y3 who was the lucky winner this year. 👏

Christmas Cross Stitch

The first of Mrs Wall’s macramé and cross stitch club Christmas trees are complete! The children have shown excellent perseverance and patience learning a new skill and the resulting cards are very special. They all deserve to feel proud. 🎄👏

Rotherham School Games Girls Y5/6 Hockey

On Tuesday 28th Nov, some of our Y5/6 girls took part in the Rotherham School Games hockey tournament. 🏒 They played a great tournament, and after a shaky start, went on to win plenty of their games. They worked well as a team and communicated effectively.  Well done girls! 👏

RBL Poppy Appeal 2023

This week, we received a thank you and certificate from the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal for helping raise money for this year’s appeal. Across the school we raised £243 for the Royal British Legion.

Y6 Cranworth Climbing Challenge

Year 6 had an absolutely fantastic trip to the climbing wall last week! I was so proud of all of the children for challenging themselves, supporting each other and showing determination. Mr Walker even commented that we’d been the most sensible class he’s had all year! A huge well done Y6! 😀

Interfaith Week at Aston Hall

Aston Hall celebrated Interfaith week by looking at ‘what is your worldview?’ We had lots of discussion about the world around us, how the universe was made and who we see in our worldview. The children produced some amazing art work from these discussions. 

Children in Need 2023 Grand Total!

On Friday 17th November, children from Aston Hall took part in BBC Children in Need 2023. We raised a fantastic £304 across the school which has now been donated to the charity. Well done Aston Hall! 👏  

Diwali Celebrations

The children at Aston hall celebrated Diwali by making and painting dots lamps and creating Rangoli patterns. They learnt all about Diwali and how it is celebrated around the world.
