Science Week at WSSC!

During Science Week, we attended Wickersley School for a Science lesson. We had a fantastic time using some of their equipment and we made a red cabbage indicator to test lots of different liquids and mixtures to see if they were an acid, alkali or neutral.

Professor Crowther Visit

Earlier this year, Y5 really enjoyed their presentation from Professor Crowther! He wowed us lots with lots of facts about the planets and space.

SPAG Learning and Writing Workshops

England vs Germany ⚽️

On Tuesday 14th November, Year 5 and 6 students were given an amazing opportunity to watch England Under 17 vs Germany Under 17 at Rotherham United football ground.

Cross Country 🎽

A huge well done to some of our year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children who took part in the cross-country race at Aston Academy. Some of the children ran 2km! An amazing effort! I was very proud. Well done to Katie, Billy, Caitlin and Lucy who are through to the finals!

Football Finals! ⚽️

Wow! Fantastic effort from the year 5/6 football. We are through to the finals and very happy to be representing Wickersley at Maltby Academy next week. Well done guys!

Cinderella lives happily ever after at Aston Hall!

The surprise staff pantomime went down a storm on Wednesday afternoon with the children! A huge thank you to our staff for the time taken to learn their lines, practise the scenes and organise some very interesting wardrobe/make-up choices to get into role…!
